This experimental project involves both me and another professional boxer engaging into a real boxing match, but in a very specific manner… Both I and my real box opponent have the gloves painted in red in order to leave a visible trace on our bodies, in the spots where we hit and touch each other during the performance… Thus, we “mark” each other like in a real boxing match, while leaving a color trace of our energy on the body of each other and, transforming the human body into a canvas… The subject of this artistic approach is to study how a professional boxing gesture can become an artistic gesture and a personal trace… The color in which we soak our gloves during the performance match is the “witness” of our fight and our bodies become living canvases during the time of the performance…
